I’m so honored to share that I was recently interviewed by Shoutout Atlanta! The opportunity to talk about my journey, my “why,” and the heart behind Amber + Oak Coordinating was such a special experience, and I’m thrilled to share a bit more about it with you all.

In the interview, I had the chance to reflect on what led me to launch Amber + Oak, the lessons I’ve learned along the way, and the incredible people who have supported me throughout this journey. It reminded me just how much purpose and joy I find in helping couples experience peace and a sense of calm on their wedding day — knowing that they can relax, be fully in the moment, and trust that every detail is cared for.
I also shared a little about my favorite local spots around the Atlanta and Woodstock area — because life isn’t all timelines and vendor calls! From coffee dates and lake walks to kayaking adventures and local bites, these simple joys keep me grounded and inspired.
This feature was such a beautiful opportunity to pause and reflect on how far Amber + Oak has come, and to dream about where it’s headed next. I’m so grateful to every couple who’s trusted me to be a part of their story, and to all the friends, family, and fellow vendors who continue to cheer me on.
I’m also deeply thankful for God’s patience and grace as He’s walked with me through seasons of doubt, questioning, and fear — personally, spiritually, and professionally. The start of Amber + Oak Coordinating was no surprise to Him. This business has been such a gift — an outlet that allows me to live out who God created me to be and to be a light to others during a season that can so easily swing between excitement, stress, and worry.
I’m truly excited to see how Amber + Oak continues to grow and evolve in the years ahead. My prayer is that it always remains rooted in purpose, peace, and service — and that every couple I work with feels seen, supported, and cared for on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
Thank you again to the Shoutout Atlanta team for highlighting my story and giving me space to share my heart for what I do. Again, if you’d like to read the full interview, you can find it here: Meet Jessica Laycock – Shoutout Atlanta
